Michael Fisher of Heartwood Creations created his first Secret Box when he was sixteen years old that was fashioned from wood with a sliding dovetail lid. The box was created as a gift for a sweetheart and secretly held a love note inside. Today Michael Fisher has assembled the finest crafts people from America's heartland and formed the company Heartwood Creations making the best in wood crafts. Each Jewelry box is made using the finest woods and inlays. Michael Fisher and his craftspeople make jewelry boxes, pill boxes, business card holders, secret lock boxes and more. Every piece is made from the heart of each of his crafts person and signed with a heart. The jewlery boxes are all crafted and signed by Michael Fisher. You will notice on each box the quality of the inlays, the details of line up the grains in the wood on the corners and the versatility of being able to rearrange the interior compartments. Michael fisher is dedicated to the environment as well, he replants 10 trees for every tree used in production.
